Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 28592
allow to undo document-changes applied by the option-window
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:13:34 UTC
lease... - open a new spreadsheet: You can see that the save-icon is disabled. This is OK. - select "Tools/Options.../Spreadsheet/Calculate" - Change the amount of "Decimal places" and confirm: As you can see the save-icon is changed to enabled. That's OK, because the document has changed. But no undo-action is added! It should be possible to undo this document-change. If I change the default fonts of Writer while a writer document is open, the document-changings can be undone. You should do like Writer and allow to undo document-changes applied by the option-window. (Please check if this is a general problem or if it only affects "decimal places". I guess it's a general problem.)
typing-error: "lease..." -> "Please..."
as i see Tools -> Options -> Spreadsheet -> Calculate: Decimal places is an option which will be applied to all of the new spreadsheets. Consequently is does not apply only to the current spreadsheet and therefore will not result in an UNDO availability for the current spreadsheet. i would say that this issue is invalid.
Hi Max Weber, This is not correct. This option affects new spreadsheet like you say, but also sets the option to the already open document. You can test this simply: - open a spreadsheet an anter a value with some decimal places - change the decimal places in the options - save the spreadsheet - close the spreadsheet but keep open the empty OOo-GUI - re-change the number of decmal-points - open this document again: It still has the old value that differs from the global setting now. This behaviour is OK. I already tell this to make you understand how OOo handles this option. That's also way issue 27937 for example is already accepted.
typing error: "open a spreadsheet an anter" -> "open a spreadsheet and enter"
More typing errors: "That's also way issue" -> "That's also why issue" Sorry! :-)
(You may also have a look at issue 27937.)
