Description marspokane 2009-01-27 17:29:42 UTC
This is an effort to appeal the function VLOOKUP (and HLOOKUP and LOOKUP for
that matter) for case sensitivity. This issue is related to Issue 98298
(http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=98298). I am attaching a
spreadsheet which illustrates how the function as it exists returns erroneous
information if attempting to match codes on rows being compared to derive
information from the other row.

Comment 2 Edwin Sharp 2013-12-18 08:54:57 UTC
According help:
"If SortOrder is set to FALSE or zero, an exact match must be found, otherwise the error Error: Value Not Available will be the result."

But this is not true - vlookup still fails when Sortorder=0.
