Very important - had to use Gnumeric today for this!

Solvers are extensions, did you try with any of the existing ones?

No, didn't know about them. Thanks!

Just tried downloading EuroOffice Nonlinear Solver and got:

"Access denied

You are not authorized to access this page."

A nonlinear solver should be bundled with Calc IMHO.

this looks like a bug in the extensions site, I've seen it with my version of the MySQL connector
