Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 97758
Can't save autoformat settings for cell ranges in Calc
Last modified: 2013-01-29 21:49:28 UTC
Can reproduce it with DEV300m37 on WinXP and Fedora How to reproduce it 1 Open a new Calc document 2 Select cell ranges more than 3*3, e.g. B1:E10, Format - Autoformat, AutoFormat dialog opens, select any format except 'Default', e.g. 'Green' format, OK 3 Select B1:E10 again, File - AutoFormat, look at 'AutoFormat' dialog Result 'Default' format is selected Expectation 'Green' format should be selected in Format box
I think, that it is the correct behavior, because it is a hard (direct) formatting of the single cells and not a style for a range. There exists no object which has a property to contain the autoformat name.
meiying to regina, If I define a data range for B1:E10 named db, then Format - Autotext - Green - OK, select the data range db, then Format - Autotext, find "default" format is selected. So, IMO, it is a bug. Pls check
There exists no style property in a database range. So there is nothing that can be "saved" in any form. Format - Autoformat applies a hard formatting to the single cells. If you want a style for a database range (or for other named ranges) that would be an entire new feature.
