In Calc, the Solver tool does not allow selection of cells not adjacent to each
other in the option:

By Changing cells

I cannot detect any difference between this behavior and that of MS Excel's
solver (tested on WinXPPro MS Excel 2002).

@tboxmy: Can you please provide additional information on how this is performed
in MS Excel and/or other solver add-in's?
