Description aziem 2008-04-19 18:06:58 UTC
In the new CWS calcshare2, the date and time are not localized. I expect
MM/DD/YYYY but get DD.MM.YYYY. I've seen it in two dialogs: "Document is in
Use" and "Share Document"

I have the same problem with the spreadsheet. The default format for date
(Right click on cell -> format cell -> numbers -> category -> date) is not
localised to the system date format. I am using OOO310m11 under windows xp.
Comment 4 Rainer Bielefeld 2013-11-12 16:17:58 UTC
I think ahung's problem is somthing completely different, will be ignored.

NOT reproducible with "AOO 4.0.1 – German UI / German locale [Rev. 1524958 2013-09-20 11:40:29]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", “historic” 4.0 User Profile used for all predecessor versions. A German Language document with German Localization shows German Date Time format in document info Dialog what appears after menu 'Tools -> Share document'

NOT reproducible with server installation of "AOO 4.1.0-Dev – English UI / English locale - [AOO410m1(Build:9750) - Rev. 1537973 - 2013-11-03]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile. An English Language document with English Localization shows English Date Time format in document info Dialog what appears after menu 'Tools -> Share document'

Fixed in between, or may be users expectations are wrong?

@aziem:
Thank you for your feedback – unfortunately important information we will
need to reproduce your problem is missing.
Please add all information requested in following:
a) Write a meaningful Summary describing exactly what the problem is
b) Attach a sample document (not only screenshot) or refer to an existing
sample document in an other Bug with a link; to attach a file to this
bug report, just click on "Add an attachment" right on this page.
c) Contribute a document related step by step instruction containing every
key press and every mouse click how to reproduce your problem
d) Attach screenshots with comments if you believe that that might explain the
problem better than a text comment. Best way is to insert your screenshots
into a DRAW document and to add comments that explain what you want to show
e) if possible contribute an instruction how to create a sample document
  from the scratch
f) add information
  f1) what EXACTLY is unexpected.
f2) and WHY do you believe it's unexpected (cite Help or Documentation!)
  f3) concerning your PC
f4) concerning your Operating System (Version, Distribution, Language)
f5) concerning your AOO version (with Build/revision ID if it's not a
public release) and localization (UI language, Locale setting)
f6) AOO settings that might be related to your problems
     (video hardware acceleration, ...)
f7) how you launch AOO and how you opened the sample document
f9) Whether that worked in former OOO / AOO Versions

Even if you can not provide all demanded information, every little new information might bring the breakthrough.

Please do not cite these hints in your reply, but cite the items like:
c): Yes, also in CALC, not in Impress
