Description rolmol 2008-03-29 13:49:47 UTC
When prefixing some symbols or text Calc incorrectly assumes it to be a
formula, and proposes a correction.

Tested:
-"-	Fails. Suggests =-""	Works in 2.3
-sldf	Fails. Prefixes with =	Works in 2.3
-text text	Works.
-$$$$	Fails. Prefixes with =	Works in 2.3
-££££	Works.

Reproducible: Always
Expected behaviour: Same as 2.3 - assumed to be a string

Checked in OOo300_m3_EN on WinXP.

Tested:
" - " is the prefix.
e.g. -!
       -^
       -&
       -*
       -/
-+ is followed by a space
-- is followed by a space
There will be a suggestion dialog showing
" OOo Calc found an error in the formula entered. Do you want to accept the
correction proposed below?
=-
"

Confirmed in 3.4.1. Workaround is to start the input with a single quote, e.g.:

'-!
