Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 87011
Counting Rows by Highlighting
Last modified: 2013-11-28 15:31:02 UTC
In Excel, I can highlight rows/columns and it tells me how many there are I've highlighted. This way I don't have to individually count them. For example, 63 rows and 15 columns highlighted would be "63R x 15C" in the "Name Box." This is used to count the number of like items quickly after a sort, or if you must copy and paste into the same size area, it will tell you how many rows/columns you have chosen so you can highlight the same amount at the area where you will be pasting.
Add row and column number indication during highlighting of cells, not necessarily using name box which currently shows cell range coordinates.
