Description benjaminsoegaard 2008-03-13 20:54:34 UTC
in help the shortcut key ALT+O Displays the options for the current field. This
is not true it list the content of the menu Format.

I think this is annoying. I'm in the middle of migrating from MS-Excel to OOo CALC.
The reason i argue about the 'broken' key is I believe that this is the missing
shortcut for listing the options in the current field.

I use the shortcut ALT+ARROW DOWN in excel then changing criteria in autofilter.
And also for showing the selection list.

It seems that this is impossible mission in OOo CALC. They bother migrating if
you are forced to use your mouse all the time.

In help, I can't find the description about the shortcut key ALT+O with
Displaying the options for the current field, e.g. AutoFilter options. The
function of ALT+O in OOo Calc is the same as one in MS Excel.
Indeed, the shortcut ALT+ARROW DOWN in Excel could show the selection list for
the current field. But the shortcut ALT+ARROW DOWN in OOo Calc just add a
linefeed.

So, benjaminsoegaard, can you tell me the right place to get the help
information about ALT+O ?

Here are the way to find it in Help.
Openoffice.org Help

Section: Shortcut Keys for Spreadsheets
Header: Using the DataPilot
Item: Alt+O Displays the options for the current field.

Hope this is helpfully to sorten the issue, about the missing Shortcut Key
similar to MS-Excel's ALT+ARROW DOWN
