Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 86466
WW8: indents in numbered paragraph wrong
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:18:14 UTC
When I open word documents with ooo there is a problem with indentation. The lines with the text one/one two/two three / three should all begin at the same position. Thanks Andreas

MRU->OD: please have a look, if this could be fixed by the implementation of the new list attributes.
A basis for a fix are the new list level attributes, specified here http://specs.openoffice.org/writer/numbering/NewListLevelAttr.odt But, this Microsoft Word document uses another feature, which is not supported by Writer and also not planned yet. The numbered paragraphs "one;", "two;" and "three;" have overridden the list tab stop position. The applied list style defines the list tab stop position at 0,64cm, but the paragraphs have cleared this tab stop position and instead have defined a list tab stop position at 0,95cm. Thus, after having the above given specification implemented further work is needed.
Should be fixed this implementation of issue 86652
Deeper investigation reveals that implementation of issue 86652 is not enough. In the given Microsoft Word document the tab stop position defined in at the list level of the list style is overridden at the paragraphs. This situation is not handled yet in OOo Writer. Thus, additional adjustments are needed. Due to limited resources for OOo 3.0 I have to re-target this issue to OOo 3.1
Due to limited resources re-target to next major release OOo 3.2
due to limited resources I have to re-target this issue to OOo 3.x
setting keyword "numbering"
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
