Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 86040
Incorrect Page Format between Windows and Linux
Last modified: 2013-01-29 21:43:21 UTC
Hi, In my hybrid network (got MSWindows & Linux), I found that there is a lot of problem for printing. Finaly I sort out a few problem: In calc: 1. At Windows Vista, I make create calc doc, with paper size A4. 2. Remove Header/Footer, set all margin to 1.0cm 3. Column width for A:AL change to 0.50cm, type 'aaa' in 1st cell. 4. Perform page preview, then the page bolder grid line displayed(Within A:AL). 5. Make a thick bolder exactly at page bolder grid line. 6. Perform page preview in Windows, bolder occupied in A4 just nice(printable). 7. Open the file in Ubuntu7.10, perform page preview. bolder not fill entire page correctly(1st error). 8. Click Format Page, Papersize=Letter(2nd error) 9. When Change format from Letter to A4, 3 extra row fit into current page. There is same problem between row and column, for myself this is a major issue in a hybrid network, because the user always need to rearrange the page layout in between Windows/Linux. Hope this problem can solve soon. Thanks for the development team and Good Luck!. Ks Tan

Confirmed it in OOo3.0_RC1 on WinXP and Fedora kstan_79, My suggestion, if you want to describe two or more bugs, please submit two or more issues. ^_^ 1st error can be reproduced. 2nd error can't be reproduced. The paper size is still A4. 3rd error (step 9), there is not 3 rows but 2 rows. Li Meiying
