Description arasaka 2007-10-13 00:33:31 UTC
The document I will attach is a strip down to the one factor I was able to
isolate that would cause this.

To see the issue:

Open the attached ODS file.
Open a new Writer document.
Copy a section from the second sheet labeled "Sommaire par secteur" (Say A1 to
B16)
Paste Special -> DDE link in the Writer document.
Marvel as data from the first sheet (Sheet1) is displayed in Writer.

To "fix" the issue:

Rename the second sheet lebeled "Sommaire par secteur" to "Original", save,
close, re-open. Copy and Paste Special -> DDE link in a new Writer document.

My guess is that a foreign character could have slipped in there as the
original was written in French (some accent maybe).

I checked with "2.3.0 RC3 Multilingual German version WIN XP:
[680m5(Build9221)]" and can confirm the reported problem.

The problem seems to be the double blank in the sheet name. If I delete one of
the blanks between "Sommaire" and "par" in the sheet name "Sommaire par
secteur" DDE will work fine.

An other "workaround" is to "repair" the dde link in menu 'edit -> links' in the
WRITER document. You will see that there is only 1 blank between "Sommaire" and
"par" in the "range" pane. If you add the second blank manually, the link will
work.

Framework issue?

Hi Eike,

please have a look at this one. Re-target as needed.

Tested in 2.4.1, still present.

Sure, it isn't fixed, so..

Just a note to confirm that behaviour is identical in OOo version 3.0.1
