Description titchy 2007-05-16 20:47:31 UTC
As is the case with file names in most GUI interfaces these days if the file is
selected, clicking it again allows editing of the file name.
It would make the interface easier to use if clicking an already selected cell
switched to edit mode on that cell, so just like double click, two clicks would
do the same thing.
How it works now:
Click cell - cell is selected
Click cell again - no action
How it could work
Click cell - cell is selected
Click cell again - cell switches to edit mode.

reassigning features and enhancements to user requirements@openoffice.org which
will be the default owner for those tasks (was introduced some time ago)

In issue 99002 I see that edition occurs in response to a
double-click
— but edition is bugged.

Tools - Options... - OpenOffice Calc - General - Input settings - One click to switch to edit mode.
