Description celso_nunes 2007-04-12 15:05:12 UTC
Using the Calc, in the version 2.1 for Windows - BROffice.org, I checked that
in the Filters, it does not exist the possibility to filter with the resources
of "contain" and " it does not contain ".
Comment 1 renatoyamane 2007-04-12 16:06:25 UTC
This difference appear only on OOo Win32 (Calc --> Data menu --> Filters)
Check this difference in screenshots below:

OOo 2.0.4 (OpenSuSE 10.2 PT-BR):

Check that exist options "Contém" (contain) and "Não Contém" (not contain)

And this screenshot OOo 2.2 (Win32):

Check that options "Contain" and "Not Contain" not exist!

celso_nunes,
Novell developed additional operators for Std filter and integrated the code
into their build of OpenOffice. Some other vendors have followed the suit.
OpenOffice.org decided to wait untill necessary changes will be introduced in
ODF standart (not in foreseeable future).

So instead of using plain vanilla build (also known as "community build") you
can use Novell's build for Windows and get those operators.

Also make sure you transfer your votes to issue 35579.

Kirill,

> OpenOffice.org decided to wait untill necessary changes will be introduced in
> ODF standart (not in foreseeable future)

Sorry, but the remark in parentheses is nonsense. The change was
accepted by the OASIS OpenDocument Technical Committee to be part of the
next ODF version, which will have to undergo the usual OASIS and public
review phases and will probably be out by the end of this year.

Eike,
great news!!
Thank you very much!
Shall we target 35579 for 2.3 then?

Sorry for being so pessimistic.

Hi Kirill,

> Shall we target 35579 for 2.3 then?

No, 2.3 is scheduled to be out earlier than the next ODF version. In
case that during the review phase the new attributes were renamed or the
proposal modified in some other way as proposed to and accepted by the
technical committee, we'd write non-conforming file content if we
released that in an earlier OOo version.

Hi Eike,
maybe for 2.4 then?
