Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 74367
PageDown goes too far
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:13:11 UTC
I have a spreadsheat, using automatic-word-wrapping ("Automatischer Zeilenumbruch", Ooo german version). Column 2 has some text in the cells so that some of them are larger in height (need 2 or more lines) due to the larger amount of text they contain. If the focus is not in the first line of the visible part of the spreadsheet, then pushing PageDown-Button results in that it goes too far, i.e. there are several cells (e.g. 5) between the formerly displayed part of the spreadsheet and the resulting visible part of the spreadsheet. Is this a feature? I think it is not very usefull, if you want to view all the cells and want to avoid clicking hundred times the Down-Button. Kind regards tommyads
tommyads, any chance you could provide the document? If it is confidential please indicate that and developers will specify how to provide the document to them.
Created attachment 43543 [details] Sample File as requested
In the sample file, place focus on cell e.g. A9, then look at the last displayed cell in the visible area and remember it, then press pagedown, and on the new visible area there will be a gap between the now first cell and the formerly last cell.
Additionally to the former example: choose a size for the spreadsheet so that you will see rows 1 to 12 and a half (i.e. you see part of row 13), then place focus on cell A9 and continue as already mentioned before.
Attachment Opened in OOo 2.2.1 Instructions replicated problem.
Hi Niklas, I think we show the line 13 completely after a page down. Frank
Please beware of the case when one cell is so high that it does not fit into the actual visible area ... kr tommyads
