Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 74140
Disable text animation and fontwork for cell notes
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:13:10 UTC
This bug occurs when applying text effect on a note. Description of bug: hovering mouse over a cell with a note that has text effect (eg. Scroll Through), will cause a part of the text to remain even after moving the mouse away.

To replicate the bug, follow these steps: 1. Write "test" in cell D24 (as an example) and attach the note, "This is a long sentence." to D24 (Insert-Note) 2. Right click on the cell and select "Show Note" 3. Right click on the note and select "Text..." 4. Under "Text Animation" tag, select an "Effect" from the combo-box (eg. Scroll Through) 5. Click OK to close the dialog box, then disable "Show Note" 6. Hover your mouse over the cell to see the bug. (Notice that when you move your mouse away, the text remains in the display. See attached picture)
Confirming with build 9110 on WinXP. I also see problem at step 5, after clcking OK, but before disabling "Show Note" - text scrolls outside of note (see creenshot attached).

Hi Daniel, the bug here is IMHO that the textanimation itself could be applyied to the Note. Problem: Is it your construction site or Sven or anybody else ? Frank
