Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:22:36 UTC
In the OOo 2.0.3 display wrong in the Find & Replace Dialog the steps is as follows: 1. build a new word-processing document 2. Edit -> Find & Replace -> More Options -> Format -> Indent & Spacing 3. in put a digital like 1.2 in the before text edit filed 4. push OK button. you will find in the Find & Replace Dialog , It display 1,2 not 1.2 I have repaired the bug .
I reproduced the bug. You said you've repaired this problem, could you provide a patch?
Created attachment 39441 [details] the patch of this bug
who can answer me ? my patch is right or not ?
Most likely the patch is wrong since it takes place in the fallback stage instead of fixing the locale settings. What locale do you use and what decimal seperator is used in your locale? Compare the common locale data repository as well please. http://l10n.openoffice.org/i18n_framework/cldr/LocaleDataAudit_OOo202.html
I don't think the patch is wrong just like cloph said. Please verify.
I think liutao is right.Obviously, there is a clerical error in OO original file.
First I'll confirm this issue and I'll set its type to "PATCH". Next I'm looking for the right developer.
AMA->OS: What do you think about the patch?
Nobody can answer me?
As cloph already stated the patch fixes at the wrong place. It works for you but it will break the fallback for example in a German UI.
what should I do at next?

liutao, this patch seems to be insufficient. Can we expect that it will be reworked? Or can we close this issue?
Hi Matthias, the issue is reproducible with an English OOo2.1 on an English locale. It cannot be closed due to the patch provided by Liutao is insufficient. These are two different things. From my point of view the bug isn't too severe for users. The target OOo later should be OK. Liutao can rework it later. @Liutao: You have to make sure that your fix works independetly from OOo language and systems locale. That's I guess what Cloph wanted to say. Best regards Peter
I'm setting type to DEFECT as the existing patch is not valid anymore. We don't want to have issue with type PATCH with target Later in IssueTracker, as patches should be integrated in timely manner.
I replicated the bug first using OpenOffice version 2.0.3 using the "Linux red 2.6.9-42.0.3 El." server with following system configuration: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Version 2002 Service Pack 2. Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4, CPU 2.80 GHz,1.0 GB of RAM. Also, I found same results when tried similar sequence of steps to produce the bug on OpenOffice version 2.1 which is the current version available with standard English settings. I tried different values in indentation before text and after text as well as space settings and it produced the same results each time. I can't try the patch provided as I have limited resources and knowledge towards the source code of OpenOffice.
