Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 67417
Printing selected text.
Last modified: 2007-08-02 09:50:24 UTC
Within Writer: 1. Some typed text is selected. 2. The print dialog is opened. 3. While the user a good portion of the time intends to print the selection, the print dialog defaults to "all", necessitating an extra, unnecessary step to select "selection" on the dialog.
Reassigned to HI.

Absolutely agree. Priority seems to be too low.
we absolutely agree to the problem. This is one of the inconvinient feature in Writer. It is not so in MS-word.The process of selecting "selection" in the dialog box is an extra, unnecessary step. Regards Archana,Devi,Gowri
In the version I have (OpenOffice for Linux, version 2.0.4) there is not a "Selected Text" selection in my print dialog. Should this be a separate issue?
18 April Aloha Sherzeq, I have a pc/win machine, but when you click on "Print," it opens the print dialog box, and under "Print range" are three options: "All," "Pages," and "Selection." The references to printing a selection is the last of these three options. Thanks. Aloha, Bob
