Please consider adding "Compare side by side" feature, like Excel 2003 has 
(see screenshot attached). The point is synchroniuos vertical and horisontal 
scrolling of two spreadsheet.

Something similar can be achieved by using the context menu of the taskbar.

@kami_: I don't know of an "easy" way to implement this.  One thing to note is
that Excel uses its MDI facility to implement the side-by-side feature, but OOo
is no longer an MDI app.

Someone once mentioned a "tabbed browsing" feature for OOo by re-using the
existing framework in OOo.  Extending that would be one way to implement this.

Also, we could make use of the split window functionality for this.  But the
current split window only deals with one document instance whereas the
side-by-side feature requires loading two document instances and controlling
their view at the same time.  So I can imagine a fair amount of refactoring may
be necessary to make that happen.

If we want to implement this for Writer as well as Calc, then looking into the
"tabbed browsing" approach may be the right direction.  But this is just my
initial guess.
