Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 63100
Memory leak on copy/paste of single word
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:11:45 UTC
Found in OOo 2.0.2 Repeatedly copy/paste single word (say, "test") into one cell produces memory leak , about 100Kbytes per copy/paste. Issue confirmed by few people as discussed here: http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=33062
Hi Niklas, used ProcessExplorer to check the amount of RAM used. Pasting into a new cell each time doesn't show a problem. Using a single cell repeatedly a continous increase of memory can be observed. Changed Prio to 3 . Frank
Changing target to 2.x
OOo 2.2 still leaks, but only about 4Kb per copy/paste. Also CPU load (>20%) is too big for such simple task.
Same for OOo 2.3 Copying one cell and repeatedly pasting into many cells (selection) OOo eats memory fast, and doesn't free it when document closes.
change target from 2.x to 3.x according to http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Target_3x
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
