Description gee 2006-02-14 16:32:12 UTC
Hi, check out the file I attach!

I have several rows, I turn on subtotals summarizing 3 columns grouping first
by year then by quarter.

The subtotals are OK. The grouping of the rows are OK.

However on the top, there is a grouping, that groups one column apparently
several times.

It is meaningless, as all it does is hide one single columnt, and when you
have 5 or 6 similar grouping marks on a single coulumn, it is quite
embrassing. It takes too much space and gives nothing.

In the example I am attaching there are only 2 lines and 3 numbers; in the
real spreadsheet I use I have seven lines and 8 numbers, and another column is
grouped similarly, although only once (meaningless all the same).

I don't understand the whole point, why is tehere a grouping at all?

Hi Niklas,

as you told me this seems to be caused by the generation of the subtotal
formulas and the according groupings.
