Description bobharvey 2005-12-23 08:29:59 UTC
When exporting to PDF it is possible to select a page range, but in order to
export from just the current spreadsheet tab it is necessary first to print
preview and note the page numbers. Because numbering reflects the whole sheet
this could easily result in a document numbered from page 42 onwards.

I would like to see the selection options expanded to four:
* All sheets
* Current sheet
* page [...]
* selection

I intend to raise the same suggestion for sub-component "printing"

according to
http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/workflowcharts/RFE_issues_by_QA.sxd I
reassign this issue to requirements and set the status to new

Still no target for this one? It really would be useful, you know.

Any thoughts on this one and on
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=59697 ?

Quite surprised this is still unconsidered. I'd have hoped it would make it
into the 2.x series, but can we at least hope for it in 3.x?
Comment 5 bobharvey 2008-03-02 07:59:45 UTC
Is this so very difficult?
Comment 6 bobharvey 2008-08-13 22:10:21 UTC
I have just been experimenting with version 3.0 Beta 2 on XP.

It appears that at some point since I made the original report there has arisen
a sort of work-around. If no particular range on a tab is selected, then
selecting 'selection' on the export to pdf dialogue will export only the current
tab.

This works quite nicely, and just about produces the results I was interested
in. But the ergonomic could be a little more obvious when export to pdf is
selected, so I suppose this cannot be closed yet.

The sister issue, 59697, for printing appears to have been addressed.

As you can see in Adobe Acrobat, converting a spreadsheet to pdf can be done by
selecting which sheet you want to add to the pdf.
We need this extra before switching to Open Office.
If you need more information please send an email.

(a) This is not an enhancement request. Currently it's hard work to do a PDF
    export for particular shees. PDF export Dialog does not offer such an
    options, and to find out the page numbers you will have to export the
    only way is "trial and error".
(b) The inconsistence to print dialog is not comprehensible.
(c) Same mess with LibO 4.2
