Description bdiaconu 2005-12-09 11:10:42 UTC
-Open a text editor (Crimson)
-Enter this text:
     "test1"test2
-Select it all
-Copy'n Paste in a cell of a spreadsheet, formatted as text (also tested with
number)

In cell appers only: test1.
But if paste in "Input Line" , in cell appears the text correctly: "test1"test2.

Sorry, "single and" shouldn't be in Summary.

Can reproduce with OOo2.0.1rc3 Win98SE.
Strange, only pasting inside a Calc cell doesn't work.
With Writer, Wordpad, Word... works.

Confirming.

Double quote is the text delimiter, and if a cell starts with a quote, the text
between the quotes is used. We already have an internal task (108962) and a
specification
(http://specs.openoffice.org/calc/ease-of-use/Paste_special_for_unformatted_text_in_Calc.sxw)
for a change, but with target "later".

Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
