Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 47682
more enhanced number recognition
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:12:27 UTC
hello The "Enhanced number recognition" of 2.0 is something i am very happy about. It would be nice to have a second step in this direction by "pressing" the input to a alredy assigned cell-format. That is the format of the visible output - not that of the internal-format (see time-example below) a) every non-digit of the input is replaced with a char of the format-code that is not a placeholder for a digit in order: format-code date "DD.MM.YYYY" + input "18,04,05" -> "18.04.2005" format-code date "MM/DD/YYYY" + input "04,18,05" -> "04/18/2005" b) append the next char of the format-code that is not a placeholder for a digit to the input: format-code time "HH:MM" + input "10" -> "10:00" [1] format-code date "DD.MM.YYYY" + input "18,04" -> "18.04.2005" gerhard [1] now (in ooo2.0) the input is taken as the value of the "internal" format, so that a input of "10" results in a visible cell-content of "00:00" (in the input-area at the top "240:00:00" is shown). format-code time "[HH]:MM" + input "1.5" results in "36:00" instead of "01:50"
