Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 40954
Resizing a hidden column to show it shifts cell anchored objects (formulas...)
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:11:20 UTC
You can show or hide a column by right clicking its name. Once hidden you can decide to resize it to show it. By resizing the column shifts the cell anchored objects from the other cells. Showing « back » the hidden column doesn't shift the objects. As these objects, formulas for example, are anchored to their cells, they shouldn't being shifted when the hidden column is resized. It means the objects are not really anchored to their cells. They're just floating objects like the ones you can get in Writer text documents. I also mentionned an other anchoring issue in issue 36529. I will attach some screenshots of what I wrote, what you get when a column is hidden and what you get the hidden column is resized : the formula object is shifted to the left.

Tip of the day : Instead of hiding columns, you can split the current sheet view from the Window > Split menu. See issue 19291, issue 19292 and topic http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1704
Hi Niklas, may be a seldom problem but should not occur I think. Frank
