In Excel, a user is allowed to insert/delete columns/rows through merged 
cells.  In  calc, in order to insert a column or row, a user must first 
unmerge any merged cell through which the inserted column/row will pass 
and then remerge the unmerged cells.

Hi,

what's about using the query functionality of Issuezilla ? Spreadsheet as
component, nothing for the status field and merged for the summary will lead to
Issue 35705 and following this to Issue 8302.
