I would like to suggest that it would be useful to be allowed formulae to
contain simple comments.  For example:

"=SQRT(A3^2+B3^2) ; pythagoras.  Only valid for eastings/northings"

I used to be able to do this in dos based spreadsheets, and found it useful.

I have no opinion about what the comment delimiter should be.

In an ideal world, there would also be an option such that formulae were/were
not copied without the comment.

Hi,

from my point of view this is not really usefull as it makes reading of formulas
very inconveniend. Also Notes for cells are possible and if only special things
should be entered into a cell we have Data Validity. Nevertheless the User
Experience has to decide.

Works already (quote the comment):

=SQRT(A3^2+B3^2) ; "pythagoras.  Only valid for eastings/northings"

Note that this is an undocumented side effect and behaviour may change in future
versions of OOo. So I recomment using cell notes.

It's over 18 months now. How about a yes/no decision? If this isn't going to
happen, then the proposal should be closed.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
