Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 34694
Outlining in a protected spreadsheet can be removed
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:13:46 UTC
When spreadsheet protection is turned on, you can still expand and collapse outlining by pressing the little [+]/[-] buttons. This is a Good Thing (and unlike Excel's behaviour). But Calc also lets you *remove* the outlining - this is Bad, since it is destroying structure. I think Calc should disable the commands for removing outlining when a sheet is protected, but continue to allow the expand/collapse buttons to work.
Hi Niklas, view/hide of subtotals in an protected document is Ok because this is the functionality of this feature. Removing subtotals from the protected document is not because a defined subtotal setting is part of the structure of the document. Frank PS If possible target 2.0
