Description maxqnz 2004-09-15 12:28:26 UTC
Would it be possible to add the ability to paste a cell's address only? In other
words, rather than pasting the contents of cell (say Sheet1.a1), only the
address of the cell would be pasted?

Hi Bettina,

one for you, even if I think this is usefull only for a few persons.

If it helps, this is easily achievable in QuattroPro. To create a copy by
reference of {a block of cells} in QuattroPro, you can use these steps:

   1. Type a plus sign in the top left cell of the destination block,
   2. Select the source block,
   3. Enter.

One additional paste option: could we create hard-links to the original cells?
(like the UNIX-hardlinks for files)

see my issue on Hard-Links:
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=66817

Hard-links would be actually more useful than ordinary references!! (as they
permit propagation of any change back to the original data)

Please vote for my issue, if you find it useful.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
