Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 28666
moving picture to another sheet has to be undone twice
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:13:31 UTC
- open a spreadsheet and insert a picture - click the picture (a longlick, one ore more second) and keep the mouse-key hold down - move the picture over another sheet's tab until the other sheet has opened - release the mouse button in the "new" sheet: The picture is moved. That's OK. To undo the moving, 2 undo-steps are necessary. This is unintuitive. The first undo seems to restore the picture at it's "old" place, while the second undo deletes the copy. This behaviour is inconsequent. Moving pictures within tabs also has not be undeone twice. (Please check if the problem also exists for other object-types, not only for pictures. I have not tested it.)
Additional info: Unlike "normal" undo steps, you have to reselect the "old" sheet after the first undo to be able to see that the "old" picture is restored. When doing a "normal" undo, Calc automatically jumps to the correct sheet. So this behaviour also makes the behaviour decribed above looking unwanted.
behaviour confirmed with 1.1.2RC, i think user experience team will have to decide upon this
Hi Niklas, this should be one undo action I think. Frank
Due to time problems this is re-targeted to OOo2.0
Configuration: Windows XP professional SP2 Build: OpenOffice.org 2.0.1 The issue has slightly changed in this version. a) There is no ability to drag and drop pictures from one sheet to the next. The Sheet will just scroll when trying to hover over the tab of another sheet. b) New step-by-step 1. open a new blank spreadsheet. 2. insert picture a) select the "insert" menu b) select "picture" c) select "from file" d) chose any picture from the file system (I used the "intro.bmp" from program folder in the OpenOffice directory) 3. right click the image and select "cut" (alternately use ctrl-x) 4. select the "sheet 2" tab at the bottom 5. right click anywhere and select "paste" (alternately use ctrl-v) 6. select the "edit" menu and click "undo" (alternately use ctrl-z) (this undoes the paste. focus remains on sheet to. Clicking on tab one reveals that the image hasn't been replaced here. It no longer on any sheet) 7. select the "edit" menu and click "undo" (alternately use ctrl-z) (this replaces the image onto sheet 1)
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
