Successfully reproduced in Windows XP SP2 (English) in OOo 2.0 680m1 Build 8990.

The exact replication steps were as follows:

1. Open OOo Calc
2. Click on Insert > Picture > From File... and select any image from hard drive.
3. Click Open
4. When the image is added to the spreadsheet, right click on the image and
click on "Name Object..."
5. A dialog should popup with a field for "Name"
6. Enter any set of characters in the field and click OK
7. Click on Edit > Undo
=> Image is removed instead of the object being un-named.

Performing any additional things (i.e. moving the image) prior to trying to undo
the naming of the object does not have any effect on the bug. In essence, the
process of naming the object is never added to the undo/redo list. 

Follow-up testing showed that the bug persisted when multiple images were
grouped and then named; however, if a drawing was inserted as an OLE object (see
below for steps), there was no problem.

Steps to insert drawing as an OLE object:

1. Click on Insert > Object > OLE Object
2. Select "OpenOffice.org 2.0 Drawing" and click OK
3. Draw anything within the frame that popsup (drawing objects are normally
located at the lower-left corner, though maybe different depending on your
settings) or simply click anywhere outside the frame.
4. Right click on the frame and click on "Name Object..."
5. A dialog should popup with a field for "Name"
6. Enter any set of characters in the field and click OK
7. Click on Edit > Undo
8. Repeat steps 4-5. Note that the name you entered earlier is no longer
present.(as expected)

In other words, inserting a drawing (or any OLE object for that matter) and
modifying its name (and then doing undo) in such a manner worked as expected. It
is possible to undo the addition of a name for a drawing. Interestingly enough,
if a drawing is added directly (i.e. not as an OLE object; see steps below) then
the same problem tends to occur.

Steps to insert drawing (not as an OLE object):

1. Enable the Drawing toolbar (if not already visible) by clicking on View ->
Toolbar -> Drawing. 
2. The drawing toolbar typically appears on the bottom-left of the screen; it
has all sorts of shapes on it. 
3. Click on any of the shapes (preferably a large one like rectangle or
circular) and draw on the screen. You have to draw two of them. (You may also
copy and paste).
4. Click on one of the images. 
5. Hold down the shift key and click on another image.
6. Right click on any of the two images and click Group > Group.
7. The images will be treated as one now. You can only name grouped objects.
8. Right click on the grouped images and click on "Name Object..."
9. A dialog should popup with a field for "Name"
10. Enter any set of characters in the field and click OK
11. Click on Edit > Undo
=> Instead of resetting the name, the images are ungrouped.

The problem seems somewhat minor as the names are useful to only view objects in
the Navigator. Furthermore, since the Undo menu is not wrong (i.e. it un-does
what it says it will undo; undo name object doesn't in the menu if it is not
going to be done) it is not as if the application is doing something "wrong."
