Create a spreadsheet with the following data:
X Axis	06:00	07:00	08:00
Values	5	20	35
			
Steps:	Select B1:D2		
	Insert / Chart to get chart wizard		
	Chart Type => Line		
	Next		
	Next		
	Next		
	Finish		
	Save Spreadsheet		
	Close Window (don't need to close all openoffice apps)		
	Open saved file		
	Double click on chart to select it		
	All the data will disappear		
			
Or try this:	Load this file		
	Double click on chart to edit it		
	All the data will disappear

I reproduce with your document.
But datas selection seems to be wrong with B1:D2

If I select A1:D2 and create a chart with your step-by-step, I don't see no problem to reload or edit.
