At least with theme Galaxy (Automatic) I see inconsistent use of icon 'Auot Filter' (Filter funnel with magic wand):

a) In Tools Toolbar: Toggles Auto filter dropdown buttons on <-> off
   (Same in Calc menu 'Data -> Filter -> Auto Filter')
b) In Data Sources Wizard it will apply an Auto Filter for the column where 
   the cursor is with the cell contents at cursor position used as filter
   criteria

Different functions should use different icons.

I'm afraid that's my own word creation ...
Menu 'View -> Data Sources' in Writer / Calc. 

Some more explications concerning (b):
1. Open new Writer document from AOO Start Center
2. <f4> for 'Data Sources'
3. Data sources ("Explorer"?) appears
4. Select a Database ("biblio" for example) and a table in it
   > Table listing appears
5. Click any cell with contents
6. Click Auto Filter icon in 'Table Data Bar'
   Expected: Autofilter Selection buttons in column headings appear
   Actual: Filter will be applied showing all data records with cell contents 
           as per step 6
