Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 121910
Sorting data includes cell format excepting cell borders
Last modified: 2013-03-18 20:58:24 UTC
Created attachment 80422 [details] Screenshots of Excel and Calc In Excel, when you sort data with button, cell backgroud color and font color are sorted with data and cell borders keep their position. Please check out the sample document. You can see that double lines remain in a the position. In Calc, you can't sort like Excel. 1.If you sort data with button, all attributes like backgroud color and borders are sorted with data. 2.If you sort data with option "data"-"sort"-"options"-"Include formats", all attributes are not sorted with data. I want to sort data just like I did in Excel.Thank you.
If you uncheck "include formats" in the sort options dialog, the sorting works as the user expects. The setting is sticky, and future invocations of the sort dialog will preserve the last-used value. However, if you use the sort button on the toolbar it resets this value to the default, e.g., with "include formats" checked. This is unlike other options in this dialog, like "range contains column labels" which are not reset when using the toolbar button. Defect: using toolbar sort button resets sort option for "include formats".
