I've been running OpenOffice on a MacBook Pro for a little over a year. I've not had any issues until just recently, I'd say within the last 2 weeks. For some reason every time I open "Spreadsheet" my system gets so slow that I have to restart my entire system. I've tried simply closing the application and quitting OpenOffice altogether but it doesn't help. Once I've opened "Spreadsheet" my system can not regain it's speed and I have to restart.

Is this common? Is there an easy fix?

I never met this issue, and can not reproduce this bug on Aoo_Trunk_20121214.1915 Rev.1413470
, need more verification, keep it in uncomfirmed.

Have you tried re-installing?
Sorry for not being able to confirm as I have no access to Mac.
