Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 117578
Incorrect Display of Custom Date Format
Last modified: 2013-08-13 08:47:53 UTC
Created attachment 76204 [details] cell format image showing problem a custom date format: DD-MMM-YY is created and applied to a cell. A date (25-Mar-11)is entered into the cell. The date displays as: 2011-03-25 in the formula bar, but displays as: 11-Mar-25 in the cell. Date calculations using the cell date, use 11-Mar-25 for the calculation, rendering all calculations incorrect. See attached image.
It's hard to believe that the input line displayed 2011-03-25 while the DD-MMM-YY format displayed 11-Mar-25, I think the input line displayed 2025-03-11 instead. Note that parsing the cell input attempts to follow the YMD order of the locale set, here English_Canada that uses YYYY-MM-DD ISO date format, so an input of 25-Mar-11 is parsed as 2025-Mar-11. The cell display format is not a data input mask.
getting rid of value "enhancement" for field "severity". For enhancement the field "issue type" shall be used.
