spreadsheet marked as yellow and green, but only yellow showed.

I often received excel file from other party. Sometimes use color as marking.
But this time green color in xls showed as yellow.

Certainly not a P1.
Comment 2 frank 2011-03-26 17:01:42 UTC
Opened the file with Excel XP and could not find any green cells.
Therefore Calc works without bug I suppose.
Please specify which cell(s) should be marked green.

Please, check it again. I resubmit the XL sample with screenshot.

Usually I got email notification for any progress in the report. But this time after Openoffice.org site update, I only receive email notification when you close this report.

Excel 2007 writes a color palette and additional theming information into the XLS file. The latter is not part of the original XLS file format, and is not interpreted by Excel 97-2003 and OpenOffice.org Calc, therefore these applications show the palette colors ("themes" are a new concept in Excel 2007). Excel 2007 fails to write an appropriate replacement color into the palette for the original green color but puts plain yellow instead.

I will take this issue as an enhancement request.

BTW: If the file is converted to XLSX or XLSB format, Calc will open it correctly.
