Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 112153
Unexpected result for text rotation with 'wrap automatically'
Last modified: 2013-01-29 21:49:09 UTC
In a cell, there is a text linked from another cell. I'd like to write this text with 180° rotation. I make a right click-> cell format -> Align -> Orientation -> 180° Since the text is too large, I use the "renvoi à la ligne automatique" feature : whatever the alignement I chose, only the first letter on each line is written on the left of the cell.
Reproducible with "Ooo-Dev 3.3 multilingual version English UI WIN XP: [DEV300m80 (Build 9507)]", pls. see my sample document! Text will now be shown as a single column text. Same with "2.4.1 Multilingual version English UI WIN XP: [680m17(Build9310)]" You can reproduce that problem easily: 0. open new spreadsheet 1. Type "Lorem" into a cell 2. Menu "Format -> Cells.. -> Text orientation 180°" Word will be shown "ass over" 3. Menu "Format -> Cells.. -> Wrap text automatically" Expected: nothing (word length is smaller than cell width) Actual: only "L remains visible. Increasing row height will show more characters

Confirmed with DEV300m83(Build:9511) en-US Linux X64. I guess we could change the OS field to "all".
Modified OS due to comments from gibi
