Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 110950
Insert – Formatting Mark has no shortcut keys in calc
Last modified: 2013-01-29 21:47:23 UTC
In writer accelerators are available for Insert – Formating Mark: Non breaking space: Strg Shift +Space Non breaking Hyphen: Strg Shift + Minus Optional Hyphen: Strg + Minus In calc Insert – Formating Mark is available, but has no accelerators. At least for “Non breaking Hyphen” same accelerator as in writer could be added, cause Strg Shift + Minus seems not to be used … Strg + Minus is used for deleting cells, Strg + Shift + Space is used for selecting columns
Reproducible with "Ooo 3.1.1 WIN XP DE[OOO310m19 (Build 9420)]"! It was no problem for me to define <shift>+<f10> for non-breaking space with this version, but I failed with "Ooo-Dev 3.3 multilingual version English UI WIN XP: [DEV300_m76 (Build 9491)]" (what might be a separate bug).
i had a look at http://www.ooowiki.de/TextStriche maybe i would be a good idea to add an own Toolbar "Formating Marks" with all kind of common hyphen and spaces ... btw: adding [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Input Method] "EnableHexNumpad"="1" to the windows registry give me the ability to insert all kind of UNICODE charachters using ALT + UNICODE, e.g ALT + 2010 will insert a HYPHEN
Shift+F10 shall not be used, because it is the short cut key for to get the context menu in all modules and belongs to the accessibility settings.
