Description johnds 2010-03-10 14:56:49 UTC
I have a spreadsheet with one column defined as date in the format yyyy.mm.dd

If I enter dates from before the 1900 century , e.g. 1873-04-18, and export the
sheet to EXCEL the cell gets corrupted with ####### (actual -9752). The actual
value seems to be the result of a calculation.

Same problem using the Sun ODF Plugin for Microsoft Office 3.2 to import ODF
into Excel 2003 SP3.

I realize that Excel doesn't seem to be able to handle dates earlier than Jan 1,
1900.

Maybe there a warning should be omitted, when a user tries to export dates
before jan 1, 1900.

Format cells to YYYY.MM.DD
Type 1873-04-18
result is 1873.04.17

Rev. 1507307 Win 7

PS open in Excel 2007 gives -1930.09.13 with Use 1904 date system.
