Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 109432
datapilot in m71 dont recognize color
Last modified: 2013-08-15 06:17:59 UTC
1. Open attached file in 3.2 2. Open it in m71 3. DataPilot table is on sheet #2 No color lines present. Other problem is no crop for long lines, but I think it will be fixed without me.

Your example is a XLS document. * Open this XLS with MS Excel 2002 --> NO colors in DataPilot. * Open this XLS with OOo 3.1.1 ubuntu build --> NO colors in DataPilot * Open this XLS with OOo 3.2 vanilla build --> colors in DataPilot are there * Open this XLS with m71 --> NO colors in DataPilot * Open this XLS with OOo 3.2 and save it as an ODF * Open this ODF with OOo 3.1.1 ubuntu build --> colors in DataPilot are there * Open this ODF with m71 --> colors in DataPilot are there * Refresh the DataPilot, no matter what version you are using, color will disappear. I am not sure how to classify this. Seems to be a XLS import problem, somehow. But surely it is related to issue #75934 and possibly to issue #32303. However, the intended behaviour seems not to be specified at all. So, if we do not have any imagination of the intended behaviour, we cannot classify the current behaviour as a defect. It is likely, that opening a document, that contains a DataPilot, means refreshing the DataPilot. Since refreshing a DataPilot can mean a completely new structure of its result, how should cell formats be preserved, that had been applied before the refresh? I tend to resolve this issue as a duplicate of issue #75934.
May be just excel import filter, because I know about loosing formatting after refresh. Interesting difference between 3.2, 3.1.1, and m71. May be you know who to add to CC, who working on import filters?
Sorry, the problem description is not clear. I opened the example file in Excel, and there is no color at all even there. You need to attach a file that contains color when opened in Excel.
@kohei, you got it right: open the example file in Excel, and there is no color. But open it in OOo 3.2, there *is* color. Open it in OOOo m71, there is *no* color. Quite confusing.
