Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 106407
Macro warning incorrect
Last modified: 2013-01-29 21:48:34 UTC
Steps to Recreate 1) open an Excel file which contained Macros Actual behavior The warning I received was "Execution of macros is disabled due to the current macro security settings in Tools - Options - OOo-dev - Security." However, no such menu exists. The issue also occurs in the 3.1.1 version. Expected Behavior Provide text that points to the correct menu location for changing macro security
NOT Reproducible with "Ooo-Dev 3.2.0 multilingual version English UI WIN XP: [OOO320m2 (Build 9432)]"! Seems to be INVALID, pls. see screenshot from a.m. Version (same with 3.1.1) @okapi1253: Pls. evidence that this menu does not exist for Mac!
Created attachment 65724 [details] Menu does exist for WIN
Created attachment 65757 [details] Options not shown under Tools menu
Created attachment 65758 [details] Screenshot showing preferences
So for Macs, the wording should be changed to "OOo-dev - Preferences... - OOo-dev - Security" as shown in the screen shots (using variables for the OOo-dev of course since that changes between stable and development builds).
Proved by screenshot, so NEW @okapi1253 What OS do you use? What's with HELP? If you search HELP for "Macro security" (headings only), is the description correct? Is that really the only "slip" or do we have a general problem with the differing menu structure for MAC?
I am running OS X 10.6.1. The issue does also show in the help pages: "The Macro Security dialog appears when a document contains one or more macros. You can also call the dialog from the Tools - Options - OOo-dev - Security page."
