Description  : 
1) I insert a new spreadsheet from an excel file in my test.calc - it's ok
2) i verify , the link is visible from menu>edition>liens - it's ok
2) I save and close my file Test.calc - it's ok 
3) When i re-open the test.calc file, the links were lost ?!

Please attach a sample file which shows the problem. And give some information
on your configuration : OS, exact version of OpenOffice.org

I observe this case only with file save as .xls, but not with ods suffix.
