From the Ubuntu bug report:

Table color and thickness of the selected tables in calc don't change what I want.
To reproduce this bug:
1. make squares bigger (to get better view; optional)
2.drag a 6x6 square or bigger
3. right click, change line style to 5.00 pt, color black
4. drag 2x2 square in the middle of the thick 6x6 square
5. right click, change line style to 5.00 pt, any bright color except black
"

Confirmed on official OOo 3.0.1 the bottom and right parts of the second box are
the old black color and not the new bright color.
