Please prefdefine the shortcuts for the fill-options in calc.
(maybe like in M$ Excel)
 
Open "Calc" -> Menu:Edit-> Fill -> Up/Down

reassigning features and enhancements to user requirements@openoffice.org which
will be the default owner for those tasks (was introduced some time ago)

Useless feature IMHO.

PS
Excel 2007 has a bug in this.
A1 = 2
A2 = 4
Highlight A1:A5
Home - Editing - Fill - Down
Result is
