Description tony.galmiche.ooo 2003-11-26 12:08:02 UTC
The sort icon of the vertical toolbar melds the previously sorted datas
When sorting one single key, Excel doesn't meld the rows previously sorted
inside the key.

This Calc behaviour can not allow, as Excell can, to apply a sort on more than 4
keys or to use the sort icon to sort on more keys in several steps
To solve the problem, one should use a fictive key which contain the rows order
before sorting and employ it as a last sort key

The problem could also be solved by using a stable sorting algorithm (not
quicksort). Merge sort would do the job. There's even an in-place version of
merge sort.
