Description Unknown 2003-02-10 05:52:02 UTC
In OpenOffice 1.0.2 setting a limited print area to print from is difficult to
do (unintuitive). By this I mean just print a section of a spreadsheet which
is nrmally more than 1 page long by 1 page wide. For example in Excel this is
very simple to do (It has an option to fit(shrink) a specified sheet print
area (set by menu option) onto a specific page range (1 by 1 etc). This
something I have found very useful in Excel and I found it difficult to
emulate in OpenOffice. I seem to be able to print a selection OR to specify to
fit to 1 by 1 page but I can't figure out how to do both at once. Not from the
UI anyway.

Summary: Ability to print a selection, where printing is specified to
fit to 1 page long by 1 page wide.

enhanced summary, set keywords and reassigned issue according to RFE process

Unfortunately this functionality is still located in different dialog (not the
Print dialog like in Excel), OpenOffice.org 2.0 will have more printing options
under "Format - Page Format - Sheet". Current milestone/snapshot builds already
include this functionality.
