---> Make it exactly as Excel!!!! This is not a good idea. It CAN be better than Excel not EXACTLY as Excel. Let's not limit us to the 'as good as the market wants' example. On the other hand: I confirm that the Three conditions using the standard option is limiting. BUT nevertheless you CAN continue to add criteria to your current 3 lines standard filter by selecting direct values using the combo's on other columns The fact that you can have an overview about all columns is BETTER in my opinion than hiding everything in each field. You do not have to select you entire list: one cell in the list (avoid having empty lines/columns - like excel: hates that too. my 0.02 Can we please resume this issue so by subpoints: 1 - unclearly formed RFE, wontfix 2 - wontfix, works well for contiguous ranges 3 - good RFE 4 - duplicate of many already reported issues 5 - wontfix So remains only 3 - "Add the possibility to sort ("each" - not agreed maybe) column by using the dropdown combo box." ;) re-assigned to requirements team About no. 2: What I meant is: It would be nice if we could do this: -Select the row we want for headers -Data: Filter: Autofilter Then the range would be selected automatically by Calc. Plus, if the data expands (more rows) later, the range would automatically expand also. To avoid any misunderstanding, could this issue be renamed, like 'Make Sort option available in AutoFilter menu'? NB: For 2, Issue 59229 may be the right one. Is 3.3.1 or 3.4 release an opportunity to implement this very useful function? Thank you, Carlo |
