Hi,

if possible please attach a file and describe step by step how to reproduce.
I've tried it with the limited information you gave us and was not able to do so.

It would be good to know from there you got the OOo Installation files.

In Debian Sarge there is a bug in the libfreetype which makes OpenOffice.org >=
2.0.2 crash.

If you are using Debian Sarge, please try to use the old libfreetype by typing
wget
ftp://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/main/f/freetype/libfreetype6_2.1.7-2.4_i386.deb
wget
ftp://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/main/f/freetype/libfreetype6-dev_2.1.7-2.4_i386.deb

If the problem still is there: Please add another comment to this issue.

I'm using SID . Have Sid libfreetype bug?
Comment 4 parity 2006-08-09 19:59:37 UTC
No, I don't think that the actual sid distribution has this problem.
Comment 5 ooo 2006-08-11 16:40:04 UTC
Sounds like this could be a result of one of go-ooo's filter patches applied.
